Ayodhya, July 12: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad is likely to give new directions to the Ram Temple construction movement at the site of disputed structure in its five-day managing commitee meet, commencing today. The meet is being organised here for the first time since 1992.
VHP president Ashok Singhal said the meeting will focus on the organisational action plan as well as the Ram Temple construction movement.
The VHP managing committee meets twice a year. The meet is considered important as it is being organised in Ayodhya for the first time since the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992.
Senior VHP leaders, including party general secretary Praveen Togadia and vice-president Giriraj Kishore, will be present in the meet.
