VHP, Bajrang Dal sprinkle Cow Urine in Garba to avoid Muslims – Participant filed complaint

Gandhinagar: It seems that right wing Hindu groups like the Bajrang Dal and VHP ‘smelly campaign’ to “keep Muslims at bay” from ‘Garba venues’ doesn’t go down well with the people from their community.

As per a Times of India report, Devduttsinh Raol, an IT professional based in Gandhinagar, lodged a complaint to put an end to this ridiculous practice of unpleasant shower.

Raol, along with his wife and brother-in-law went to Thanganat ground in Sector-11 on Wednesday to take part in the celebrations.

But was shocked when he saw a group of youths wearing saffron scarves showering gau mutra on all visitors at the main gate ensuring everyone got the urine shower and tilaks on their foreheads.

The ill practice made Raol angry and he refused to put tilak saying he doesn’t need a certificate from any organisation for being a Hindu.

The saffron clad youth threatened Raol with a knife when refused to put a tilak.

Matter goes worse when his wife intervenes and they misbehaved with her.

Raol then decided lodged complaint but to his shock, the police were reluctant in taking his complaint.

He then approached Virendra Singh Yadav, superintendent of police, Gandhinagar who took notice of the incident.

“The group misbehaved with my wife when I protested,” he said in his written complaint.

“All garba organisers have been asked to arrange for private security. We have assured them of quick police intervention if we are alerted on time,” The Times of India quoted Virendra Singh Yadav as saying.
