Bhubaneswar, February 15: Committing that it would ensure building of Sri Ram temple at Ayodhya, the VHP today asked the BJP to stay away from the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
“The people of this country have desire to see Ram temple at the birth place of Lord Rama in Ayodhya and there was no need to politicise the issue which was entwined with sentiments of crores of people,” VHP international president Ashok Singhal told a press conference here.
Asserting the VHP asked the BJP to stay away from the Ram Janmabhumi movement, he said the sadhus would build the “much desired” Ram temple even without the help of any political party.
