VH urges Congress men not to oppose Revanth’s entry into party

Urging the fellow party leaders not to oppose TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy’s willing to join Congress party, Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao has asked the party leaders to adjust themselves if party high command took a decision in this regard.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, VH said he was asking Revanth Reddy to join Congress party since several days. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was throwing his assurances made to the people in the dust bin. The small traders were on the roads due to GST impact, he said and alleged that the BJP government was trying to revoke Bofors case, on which the Court gave verdict in 2005 saying that the former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi had no links with Bofors case, while filing cases on Opposition parties’ leaders.

VH warned that Rajiv Gandhi’s fans would come on to the roads in case Modi government revives the Bofors case. Asking BJP leaders to tell as to why they have angry with Rajiv Gandhi, who sacrificed his life for the sake of nation, VH demanded that the Centre to revoke the cases filed on Modi and BJP chief Amith Shaw in case it revokes cases on Rajiv Gandhi.

Stating that he was getting doubt that the Election Commission colluded with BJP leaders, AICC secretary asked Election Commission to tell as to why delay was taking place in conducting elections. (NSS)
