Congress MP V Hanumanta Rao has said that he had informed that Congress was failing to effectively spurn the allegations being made by the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila during their Pada Yatras.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, after he had met Sonia Gandhi, he said he had informed her about what was happening in the state. VH said the Congress leadership in the state was unable to effectively counter the charges being leveled by the two parties against it. He said the party would have to spurn these allegations as otherwise, people would be misled. He said he has also requested the Congress president to give nominated posts to those who strive for the party.

He said the centre should take and early decision on Telangana and asserted the party would surely win 16 Parliament seats in the Telangana region, if it took a decision on the ‘T’ issue. He has termed the pada yatras of Chandra Babu Naidu and Sharmila as efforts for getting power.(NSS)
