Lashing out at the TRS’ attitude on ensuing GHMC elections, senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has alleged that the ruling party was showering “fake love” towards settlers keeping the GHMC elections in view.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, VH said IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao’s statement that he was ready to contest in the Seemandhra region clearly shows that the TRS was expressing “fake love” towards settlers for the sake of their valuable votes. Ridiculing KTR for describing the TRS as “Telugu Rashtra Samithi”, the Congress leader said he would go to the Seemandhra settlers in the twin cities and remind them of the TRS party’s atrocious remarks against the Seemandhras before the formation of Telangana State. He also expressed concern over the fate of settlers as there was a chance that the TRS would trouble the settlers after the GHMC elections.
The Rajya Sabha member also said nobody has forgotten TRS tactics of blackmailing cine industrialists during separate Telangana movement. He also warned the TRS that his party would release videos of TRS party leaders’ remarks against Seemandhra people soon. (NSS)
