In protest against the Centre’s unilateral decision to name domestic terminal Congress leaders MP V Hanumantha Rao and former minister D Nagender and others today staged a protest at Shamshabad International Airport. The police taken the congress leaders into custody.
Speaking on the occasion, Hanumantha Rao criticized the Centre taken such a decision at the behest of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He condemned the decision saying that Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has belittled the sentiments of the Telangana State. This is a sort of attack on our culture and supremacy of Andhra leaders even after separation of Telangana, he charged. Nagender also found fault with the Centre for trying to show upper hand on the state government on name change.(NSS)
