Telangana Congress senior leader V Hanumanth Rao today criticized TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for wooing BC people.
Addressing a BC meeting at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, VH said Naidu is known for nefarious designs and people will not believe him. The meeting was attended by two PCC chiefs Ponnala Lakshmaiah, N Raghuveera Reddy and others. He said Congress gave BCs top priority during the last four decades and now has chosen two BC leaders for the two new PCCs in the wake of bifurcation of the State, he said. Rao accused the TDP Chief of maintaining dual standards with regard to offering 100 seats for BCs and later failing to keep the promise. Thus, Naidu is denying adequate seats to the BCs who now should think of giving votes for the Congress, he maintained. It is known fact that Naidu first given a letter in favor of Telangana and then detracted from it sought equal justice for Seemandhra, he said. He also found fault with BC leader R Krishnaiah for meeting Naidu on one hand and BJP leadership on the other for allocation of more number of tickets for the elections. (NSS)
