VH Flays BJP over Modi

Congress senior leader and MP V Hanumanth Rao today lambasted the BJP for promoting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate.
Addressing the media here, Rao expressed displeasure over the BJP for targeting the Congress on corruption. Though Modi has such malicious record, the BJP was supporting him and wooing the people at every nook and corner, he said. He also flayed former Union Ministers like D Purandeswari and Kavuri Sambasiva Rao for switching their loyalty towards the BJP which supported bifurcation of the State. He accused them of deceiving the Congress for greener pastures and switched over to the BJP fold.
Rao asked them (Kavuri and Purandeshwarhi) to clarify why they failed to join a political party which was in favor of Samaikyandhra. He alleged that just for the sake of political mileage and posts, they ditched the Congress. He said leaders of the Andhra Pradesh can put in their efforts to build new Capital and bring about speedy development. This would be possible as AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi favored better financial packages and special category status, he opined. “I will explain to the people of Seemandhra as to why Telangana was given statehood, during his tour to begin soon”, he added.
