Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao has demanded the government to remove University of Hyderabad (UoH) vice-chancellor Apparao, who was the reason for the death of Dalith student Vemula Rohit, from his post immediately.
Speaking to the media after visiting the UoH here on Tuesday, VH demanded the government to arrest the persons responsible for the death of Rohit including Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and withdraw suspension over other four students reviving their fellowship.
Demanding the government to extend ex-gratia to the bereaved family, VH alleged that the disturbances have been taking place in Universities just because of officials’ attitude. (NSS)
