Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao has questioned YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila as to why she has taken up ‘Paramarsha Yatra’ in Nalgonda district.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, VH pulled up Sharmila saying in what way she will be benefited by touring the Telangana State. He also questioned the TRS government, which described the YSRCP as an enemy to Telangana State earlier, as to why it was not obstructing her Yatra. Making it clear that the Congress would obstruct Sharmila’s Yatra, the Rajya Sabha MP asked the government to give an explanation as to why others who were actively involved in Note for Vote scam were not caught along with Revanth Reddy. VH has said he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in this regard. He also demanded that the State government order a CBI inquiry into the Revanth Reddy’s episode. (NSS)
