Stating that ‘Global City’ doesn’t mean ‘Gundagiri’, Rajya Sabha member and Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao asked the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to show his guts by arresting MIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who indulged in an attack on Congress party leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mohammed Ali Shabbir on GHMC election day.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Wednesday, VH suggested KCR not to compromise on this issue. “The people will set the records of KCR straight in case he compromised in the attack issue”, he said. He said the MIM leaders, thinking that Old City was their Jagir, were acting at their will. MIM did nothing to the Old City and the MIM leaders’ family only developed in a big way, he alleged and said “a Mechanic’s son was working as Mechanic only”.
Stating that MIM party behaved indifferently fearing the defeat in the GHMC elections at several places, VH alleged that the police remained silent spectators in the episode. He suggested that TRS party not to be deceived in the hands of MIM as already Congress party learnt a lesson in the hands of MIM. “Friendship with MIM party is like offering milk to a snake”, he asserted. He also warned that the Congress party will enter in the Old City in case the State government failed to initiate action against the MIM party. (NSS)
