New Zealand key southpaw spinner, Daniel Vettori, will miss the upcoming tour of India due to groin strain, according to reliable sources. Vettori would have been an asset in the bowling department to his team since the tracks in India are spinner-friendly. Vettori had missed the second Test against the West Indies last week due to groin injury. The Kiwi skipper, Ross Taylor, said Vettori is unlikely to visit India due to groin strain. Tarun Nathula, who was a member of the New Zealand squad in the Caribbean recently, is likely to replace Vettori. New Zealand lost to West Indies in all the three formats of the game recently.
