Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday assured that the Centre would provide assistance to the rain-hit Telugu states.
Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Venkaiah Naidu said that the incessant rains have wrecked havoc in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to which the two states have incurred massive loss to the civic infrastructure as well as the standing crop. The Union minister, who took up aerial survey in Guntur on Tuesday, said that he would soon meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and would appraise them about the rain situation in both the states and the quantum of loss incurred.
