Describing Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu as ‘Nellore Bommidai’, CPI senior leader K Narayana said that the Venkaiah, who assured that he will keep his assurance of providing special status to Andhra Pradesh State, was skipping like a fish.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Narayana alleged that the Centre was adopting delaying tactics in providing special status to Andhra Pradesh State and said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who stated during State division that BJP will provide special status to Andhra Pradesh, was now keeping mum.
Accusing Chandrababu of failing in getting special status to state, Narayana said that TDP government achieved nothing and asked it as to why it was organising anniversary celebrations. He ridiculed Chandrababu for trying to file cases against Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who was trying to file cases against Chandrababu for indulging in note-for-vote episode. He opined that there is a need to Left Parties, YSRCP and Congress party to come a common forum to fight for special status to State. (NSS
