Venkaiah Hopes Vote Increase If Modi Is Projeced As BJP PM Candidate

The Bharatiya Janata Party predicted that if the Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Narender Modi is projected as the prime ministerial candidate in the general elections 2014, then the voting percentage of BJP in the Seema-andhra regions would increase at least up to 10. Stating this, the party senior leader Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, announced that BJP is ready to face even the interim elections.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Mr. Naidu expressed confidence that the party would win the general elections 2014, as it had already started a massive programme to strengthen its cadre. He informed that the party would soon start ‘medhomadanam’ (brain-storming) programme to face the political situation by launching movements to solve the public issues– problems of the weavers, farmers and other ill-treated sectors in the state. He disclosed that new candidates would be given opportunity to contest for MLA / MP posts from their respective constituencies in the elections 2014.

He stressed on the need for the state Government to submit a report on the losses suffered due to the cyclone ‘Neelam’ in order to seek compensation from the centre.

He opined that the Ratha yatra and the preachings of Swamy ‘Paripoornaanda’ is to be welcomed, as it is intended to bring awareness on the moral values of Hindutva, while spreading the knowledge of Vedas and Sasthras. He pointed out that the practice of converting people into Christianity by the foreigners is morally not acceptable. (NSS).
