Venkaiah demands 2 JPCs on IPL

Hyderabad, April 25: Senior Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) M Venkaiah Naidu today demanded two separate Joint Parliamentary Committees(JPC) to probe the ‘murkey and hefty’ deals of the IPL cricket matches and alleged involvement of Union Ministers and others in it.

Addressing the media here, he said there was need for another Joint Parliamentary Committee to look into the anti-democratic act of tapping phones of prominent poticians, particularly political rivals.

He said a transparent and independent enquiry alone could establish truth and hence need for setting up of JPC.

This would pave way for cleansing both cricket as well as the functioning of Central Intelligence agencies.
