Vayalar holds review meet with cadre ahead of bypolls

All India Congress Committee (AICC) Emissary and Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vaylar Ravi today held a review meeting with party cadre and discussed about the ensuing by-elections to be held for 18 Assembly and one Lok Sabha seats.
Mr Ravi asked the party rank and file to take the Congress policies to the people.
He said the party was not concerned about individuals (referring to YSR Congress Party Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy).
He said the Congress Party had taken the bypolls ‘seriously’ and asked the cadre to counter the statements made by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy that the ruling congress Party had sabotaged the welfare schemes introduced by his father late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy when he was the Chief Minister.
The booth committees, comprising about 10 members, would be set up in a week’s time, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who participated in the meeting, said.
Mr Reddy asked the party leaders to explain to the people the real reasons on why the State Government had increased the power tariff from April 1, 2012.
