Hyderabad, December 03: “I have submitted my resignation from the post of cabinet minister in the State Cabinet to the chief minister. I will continue to be a Congressman and a member of the State Legislature as a Congress MLA. My entire family for generations has been a strong Congress family. My grandfather and my father served the Congress party with utmost dedication, sincerity, honesty and integrity. I have the good fortune of continuing the same legacy.
In keeping with the highest traditions of the Congress party, I will meet the AICC president to explain to her the circumstances under which I had taken the decision to resign from the State Cabinet.
As a disciplined member of the Congress party, I will abide by any decision she may take in this regard. Till then, I will keep away from the Cabinet.”
