Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu today said the debate on Andhra Pradesh State Reorgnization Bill 2013 was continued by another minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly lobbies after it was adjourned for the day, Sridhar Babu said he had already started the debate and Vatti only continued it. The government, he said, has to conduct debate taking cooperation from all political parties.
Vatti began the debate on behalf of the government when Speaker Nadendla Manohar appealed to do so. However, Vatti said he was rejecting the bill as it is against the sentiments of his region. “Since the bill is against democracy and the Constitution, I reject it”, he said. Later, the Speaker adjourned the House to Thursday. (NSS)
