New Delhi: Heaping praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi BJP leader and descendant of Gandhi family, Varun Gandhi said no other Prime Minister in the past has brought more glory to India like Narendra Modi has in a short span of time. Varun Gandhi belongs to Gandhi family that has given the country three PMs since the independence.
Addressing a rally at Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, Varun Gandhi belittled his own family while heaping praises on PM Modi. He said, “Some people in my own family have been prime ministers too but the kind of glory PM Modi has brought to India, no one else has done for the country.”
Saying that Modi has no one in his family to look after hence he is living for the country and will die for the country.
Varun Gandhi belongs to Nehru-Gandhi family and is the cousin of Congress president Rahul Gandhi. His father Sanjay Gandhi, the younger son of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the brother of Rajiv Gandhi died in a plane crash. He and his mother Maneka Gandhi both joined the BJP.
