Telugu Desam Vijayawada Urban unit president Vallbhaneni Vamsi on Monday dismissed reports that appeared in a section of media that he was resigning from the Telugu Desam Party.
Talking to media persons, Vamsi termed the media reports as baseless and far from truth. Stating that he would not be joining the YSR Congress party, he said that he would stay with the TDP and work to strengthen the party in the Krishna district.
Vamsi’s statement assumes importance in the wake of reports that he was quitting the Telugu Desam along with his close friend Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani, who was suspended from party after meeting YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy at Chanchalguda Jail last week.
Replying to a question, he reminded that he has already explained to party president N Chandrababu Naidu over his accidental meeting with YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy in Vijayawada. (INN)
