Hyderabad: Former MLA and Congress candidate from Kalwakurthy Assembly segment Challa Vamshichand Reddy today alleged that BJP activists had attacked him at Jangareddypalle in his constituency.
He made this revelation while speaking to mediapersons at NIMS hospital where he was undergoing treatment for grievous injuries sustained in the attack. He said the BJP activists had also attacked his vehicle with stones when he was leaving the area. “I was badly hurt in stone pelting by the BJP workers. My party workers immediately rushed him to Hyderabad for treatment,” he said. He said his repeated pleas to the Election Commission to deploy additional security forces at Jangareddypalle as it was a sensitive area. He hoped that he would retain the seat by winning it with a comfortable majority.
