Addressing the All Party Waqf Convention held in Kolkata, West Bengal, Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha former MP (CPI) said opportunist Muslim politicians are equally responsible along with the government for destruction of valuable Waqf properties in the country. Speaking further he hailed the role of Urdu journalism especially role of editors of Siasat, Munsif and Rehnuma-e-Deccan Dailies. He stressed that government should develop Waqf properties and spend the revenue to eradicate educational and economic backwardness of Muslims.
Greeting message of Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan was read in the convention. The message stated that Siasat will always stand by the movement of Waqf protection. Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Alhajari president Deccan Waqf Protection Society congratulated the host of the convention Mr. Mustaqeem Siddiqui and his friends for holding the convention in Kolkata and hoped that if Allah wills, it will bring positive results.
