After Gujarat communal riots, stress was laid on the fact that there is little percentage of Muslims in police force. In order to save them from the clutches of the communal miscreants, it is essential to recruit as many as possible Muslim candidates.
With this view, Siasat Urdu Daily started implementing this scheme under the stewardship of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan editor of Siasat. By the grace of Allah the Almighty and with the blessings of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) nearly 1000 Muslims have been recruited in Police Department since 2002.
Siasat Urdu Daily organized Physical Training as well as Written Test Practice for the candidates for recruitment into Police services very seriously. So far training has been imparted to 8 batches of candidates. As usual, classes were held at Abid Ali Khan Eye Hospital Darulshifa for preparing candidates for the written test. When the training classes were started for the first time in 2002 late Mr. Syed Hameed Uddin had made a very important role. This time his absence was very much felt.
Siasat Urdu Daily has been getting successes and it is hoped that this time also many candidates would be recruited in police department. Initially Muslim parents were avoiding the recruitment of their children in police department but as a special campaign by Siasat Urdu Daily not only Muslim boys got inspiration to acquire police jobs but Muslim girls were also tempted to join police service.
This year out of 140 candidates there are 5 girls including 1 non-Muslim girl who are receiving training. These girls told that on seeing the campaign started by Siasat, they decided to join Police service so that they could offer their services for the Nation. It may be noted that the candidates who are desirous of joining police service are provided not only physical training but also the written test.
Faculty member Mr. Mohammed Islam Uddin Ansari told that with the special interest of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat, Mr. Zaheeuddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat and Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat, so far, 8 batches have been given training. It is expected that good results would come out this time also.
He further told that in every station he will find constables who have been trained by Siasat Urdu Daily. Another faculty member Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hafeez told that large number of candidates were present in the training. Training programme was organized under the supervision of Mr. Syed Khaled Mohiuddin. The girl candidates who were receiving training told that the instructors had provided training in the best possible way. They desired that taking inspiration from them, other girls should also get encouragement to join police services. Other candidates also express the hope that they would perform better.
