The Telangana State Haj Committee in collaboration with the Institute of Preventive Medicine, the Princess Esra Hospital, DCMS Charminar and the DMHO Hyderabad is organising a Vaccination Camp for the Haj pilgrims belonging to Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts at the Haj House at Nampally from Tuesday to September 4th from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Making this announcement SHC Special Officer Prof SA Shukoor said that on the first day i.e. Tuesday 2nd September vaccines would be administered to the pilgrims under Cover No 2500, while on the second day pilgrims from Cover No 2501 to 5000 and on the third day pilgrims from Cover No. 5001 to 7150 would be administered the Meningitis Vaccine and Polio drops. The pilgrims above 70 years and children below five years would be administered an additional vaccine of Influenza, he said and requested the Haj pilgrims to bring HAT Card with them so that necessary entries are made in it. He said ‘this is a vey expensive vaccine costing Rs. 4,000/- each and will be administered to the pilgrims of the Haj committee only’.
He also said that vaccines for the pilgrim belonging to various districts have already been sent to the respective districts and arrangements are being made for its administration.
