Amid the controversy that the “State government will sell off vacant government lands”. Speaking at the TRS extended committee meeting, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday made it clear that vacant lands and buildings available would be used for housing vegetable, fish and meat markets and construct bus shelters.
“There are only 24 vegetable markets in the city. The available government lands, school buildings and others will be used to open new markets and construct the required number of bus shelters,” Rao said and added that new Dobhi ghats would also be constructed in the city.
With elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are likely soon, he emphasized his government’s agenda for Hyderabad city. “Hyderabad will be developed as an industry hub on the lines of Shanghai in China. Hyderabad will be transformed like Dallas city in the US,” Rao promised.
