V Hanumanth Rao demands posts to Muslims on the basis of their population

Hyderabad: Secretary AICC and ex-Rajya Sabha MP Mr. V Hanumanth Rao has urged Chief Minister Telangana KCR to give Vice Chancellor post and posts in Cabinet, Corporation and Board to Muslims and other sections according to their population.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, the senior Congress leader said KCR who has been promising social justice in the form of reservation to under privileged sections of the society should extend the quota to his own cabinet. Women who are 50 pc of the population have been neglected in Telangana cabinet. BCs who are 54 pc have been given nominal representation.

To implement quota state government need not obtain approval from the centre. The powers are in CM’s hand, said Mr. Hanumanth Rao. He alleged that KCR has not done social justice in his own cabinet. He had promised to make CM a Dalit but he himself became chief minister. Instead of forming BC and ST Commission to increase reservation quota for Muslims and STs, he announced to pass a resolution and send it to Delhi thus he is duping Muslims and STs. BJP is in power at the centre will it accept reservations to Muslims? CM is trying to mislead people by talking irresponsibly, asserted Mr. Rao.
