Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday criticised the Modi government after Uttarakhand High Court quashed the order of that had put the state under President’s Rule.
“This is a very important verdict, what was done in Uttarakhand was against the constitution. The BJP can’t tolerate other party’s rule, they will do anything to dismantle those governments,” Nitish told the media here.
In a setback to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government at the Centre, the Uttarakhand High Court on Thursday set aside President’s rule proclamation in the state.
Allowing ousted chief minister Harish Rawat’s petition challenging the imposition of President’s Rule, the court fixed April 29 for a floor test for him.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has said the Centre would challenge the court’s verdict in the Supreme Court on Friday morning. (ANI)
