New Delhi: A driver losing his control over bus led to a tragic accident that killed at least 35 people and injured several others after the bus they were travelling in fell down in a 700-feet deep gorge in Puri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand on Sunday.
20 bodies have been recovered so far according to Garhwal Commissioner Dilip Jawalkar, NewsNation reported.
Several others injured are in critical condition stated sources, the death toll may likely rise said the sources.
Most of the deceased victims were locals said the sources. The bus driver lost control of the wheel which led to the accident.
