Uttam flays CM, pledges support to TSRTC workers

Lashing out at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for threatening the TSRTC workers of dire consequences of sacking and closure of the Corporation if they go on strike, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy made it clear that the Congress party would stand by the RTC workers.
Congress senior leader Vayalar Ravi, Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP leader K Jana Reddy unveiled a statue of late Congress leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy today at Chandur. Speaking later, Uttam said some 4,000 farmers committed suicides in Telangnaa in the last four years. All sections of people were under depression due to KCR rule. He asked why the TRS government did not give Rs 4000 per acre in the form of crop investment for four years. He should have given crop investment immediately after coming to power, he said, adding that the crop investment scheme was nothing but a bonanza to farmers in view of the ensuing general elections.

Exuding confidence that his party would return to power in 2019 elections, Uttam announced the Congress government would waive Rs 2 lakh farm loan at one go. He also assured that they will give bonus besides the Centre’s remunerative price along with loan waiver scheme. He said they will introduce crop insurance scheme.

Uttam said not a single job was filled in the last four years. He recalled Palvai Govardhan Reddy’s services to the people. He called upon the party activists to ensure victory of Congress candidates in 2019 elections to pay real tributes to Palvai. (NSS)
