The TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has demanded the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to release Rs.711 crore input subsidy released by the central government to compensate for the damage suffered by farmers due to natural calamities in 2015.
Uttam addressed a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard hereon Monday. Uttam reminded in his letter that the Chief Minister specifically assured on the floor of the house on December 21, 2016 that the input subsidy of Rs.711 crores received from the central government would be released to the farmers of Telangana in a day or two. However, the same has not been done so far, he lamented. Uttam requested that the input subsidy be released to the farmers immediately. (NSS)
