Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Ramarao has said the State government was giving interest-free loans to women’s organizations in the State.
Addressing a “Stree Nidhi” meeting at Kukatpally JNTU Auditorium here on Wednesday, KTR exhorted the women to develop their livelihood by utilizing micro loans. He said Stree Nidhi scheme will be linked with the Telangana Palle Pragathi scheme and asked the women to prepare plans to increase their savings. Wishing the women associations to strengthen themselves, he said the TRS government would extend all help in this regard by giving interest free loans to Mahila Sangams.
Making it clear that the State government deposited Rs 165 crore in the Stree Nidhi Bank, KTR said women’s development was possible only with united work. Describing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as good hearted person, KTR said the Chief Minister lighted the lives of the poor girls by launching Kalyanalaxmi and Shadi Mubharak schemes. (NSS)
