HAPUR, ALWAR: “Wo gaaye kaat rahe thee maine usko kaat diya baat khatam” boldly states accused involved in the lynching of a Muslim.
A secret investigation carried out by NDTV revealed disturbing brutality of Hindutva and right-wing groups ideologies who take no account of human life and murder innocent people in broad daylight.
The NDTV team pretended to be a team of researchers doing fieldwork on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and other Hindutva outfits and visited the accused in two separate lynching cases in two states.
They first started the research with the lynching in UP’s Hapur, which took place on June 18, where an innocent Muslim Meat trader Qasim Qureshi aged around 45 years was mercilessly lynched by cow vigilantes while a 65-year-old Muslim farmer Samiuddin was badly injured.
The police have arrested nine men in connection with the lynching and charged the arrested persons with murder and attempt to murder and rioting. But soon after the arrests were made four out of the nine accused were released on
bail.
Rakesh Sisodia, one of the accused currently on bail stated in the court that he had no connection in the attack and was not even present when the incident occurred.
Now the team posing as researchers visited this accused on bail arriving at Bajedha Khurd village in Hapur.
But this accused bragged about how he mercilessly killed him and how ready they are to carry out similar killings in future on hidden cameras.
Here is what exactly he said to the NDTV: “Haan maine bola ki wo gaaye kaat rahe they, maine usko kaat diya… jailer ke saamne (I told the jailer that they [the victims] were slaughtering cows so I slaughtered them).”
“Pehli baar mai jail gaya, mujhe dar lagna chaaiye thaa. Lekin nai maine waha bhi khoob dhoom machaai aur jailer ne jaate hi poocha ki kis case mein aayae ho? (I wasn’t scared to go to jail and the jailer on arrival asked me about my crime).
He further goes on saying: “Maine turant kaha, 302 aur 307, full murder and half murder, wo gaaye kaat rahe thee maine usko kaat diya baat khatam (I replied under sections 302 and 307, full and half murder, they slaughtered cows, I killed them).”
He boldly explains how heroic welcome he has received after he got out on bail in July: “Mujhe 3-4 gaadi jail par lene gai thi. Rakesh Sisodia zindabd ke naarey laagey. Mera swaagat kiya logo ne baahe failaa ke, mujhe bada garv hua ( There were slogans of my name about the brave act I committed by killing the man. Around 3-4 cars had come to pick me up from the jail. I felt proud with this warm welcome)
“Meri fauj tayaar hai. Koi gaaye kaate, s*** mai usko katwaa denge, s*** ko khade khade. Hazaar baar jail jaana pade jaayenge ( If anyone slaughters a cow, my army is ready to go and slaughter them and we don’t care if we are put behind the bars we are willing to go to the jail for a thousand times for this).
The accused also went on how he received the Police’s support. “Police paksh me hai aur ye sab raha sarkaar kaa dum. Warna police paksh me nai rahti agar Azam Khan baithaa huaa rahta ( The ruling Government is on our side and that is why the police is i=unlike the previous government. Had someone else like Azam Khan was in power this would not have been possible he says).
The video that went viral on social media, the accused recalls the moment where he said “Maine kaha tujhe paani peene kaa haq nai hai, tune marti hui gaaye ko paani nai diya. Meri fauj tujhe choregi nahi tujhe ek ek minute maaregi s*** ko. ( You have no right to drink water since you gave no water to the cow before slaughtering it. Now my army will brutally kill you by every minute).
“Mujhe lag nai raha thaa ki s*** Qasim marega, wo bach gaya Samiudin ghutno mein se khoon tango me se khoon (I thought Qasim would die, but that Samiyuddin was bleeding),” he added.
The next visit was to Behror town in Alwar were Pehlu Khan was lynched by cow vigilantes in April 2017 for allegedly transporting cows for slaughter.
In this case, the Police arrested and charged nine men but all of them are currently out on bail.
Vipin Yadav like other accused in the killing claimed he had no role in the killing.
This time the team posed as research scholars from the US, and spoke to Vipin with hidden cameras. “Haan humlog1.5 ghante tak pitate rahe … pehle 10 aadmi aaye phir 20 aadmi aaye waha karib 500 log akatrit ho gaye (We kept beating him for 1.5 hours. First there were 10 people then the crowd grown to 500 people in no time),” Vipin said.
He speaks about the details of how he stopped the victims and his role in the crime. “Maine hi nikaale the, aur bike aage nikaalne ke baad bhi wo rok nai rahe they, toh maine zabardasti chaaabi nikal ke unko baahar nikaal liya (They weren’t stopping their trucks, so I had to overtake them and take their keys to catch them),”he said.
“Han unki haalat aisi hogai thi ki zada maar pitaai hogai thi, 2 pickup ki chaabi mere paas hi thi, mere pocket me hi rah gai thi (He [Pehlu] was badly beaten up, while that happened I had forgotten that the keys to his truck were left in my pocket).”
