User Charges collected at Hyderabad airport

The management of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad is collecting Rs. 20 as user charges from the visitors who come to use off or to receive their friends and relatives. These charges are valid for the first two hours. If they are required to wait for more than two hours, they have to pay another Rs. 20. these charges are being collected by the GMR which manages the airport. They are collecting it for the past two months. They are collecting it for the past two months. The management of the airport also collects Rs. 1875 per head from the international passengers.

With the collection of user charges from the visitors, it is presumed that the management wants to raise its income from all sources.

The management justifies this collection by saying that they have imposed this fees in order to minimize rush at the airport. In this way, only the real visitors would enter the waiting room of the airport.
