Use Rs 600 cr, Dattatreya tells KCR, NCBN

Union Labor Minister Bandaru Dattatreya expressed concern that Rs 600 cr funds allotted to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states are getting lapsed.
Addressing a workshop on Empower Telangana along with another union Minister Prakash Javadekar here, Dattatreya suggested the two governments to make efforts to get the funds before they get lapsed. He also asked Chief Ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu to compete with each other for speedy development of their states. The Centre will extend all support to make proper use of Rs 600 cr for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states he said. The Union Minister also said that training will be given to youth to improve their skills. The Centre will help Telangana State if it extends needed cooperation to bring investments from abroad, Dattatreya said.
Prakash Javadekar asked Telangana Government to decentralize powers. Unless the powers and decentralized to grass root level the rural areas and towns will witness development he felt. Since Agriculture is lagging behind due to lack of water resources suicides by farmers in the state are continuing unabated. The Telangana Government should focus on getting water resources he said. Keeping this in view the state government has to put in efforts to tide over water crisis for rapid growth and development, Javadekar noted. (NSS)
