USA Cricket Association Keen To Launch Twenty20 Premier League

London, July 17: The United States Cricket Association has been keen to start a Twenty20 cricket tournament within two years after the big success of the Indian Premier League, which was hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The main aim of the USA Cricket Association behind organizing this T20 league will be to promote top-class international cricket in their country with the help of revenues, which will be earned through this league.

On Thursday, the proposals from potential organizers, sponsors and broadcasters were invited by the USA cricket board in a country where football and baseball have been the main sports.

Mr. John Aaron, USACA executive secretary said that there has been a massive market for this quicker version of cricket in USA, and this league would help those fans who want to see world class cricket without going on expensive foreign tours.

The IPL has been a major success, which offered big paychecks to attract big-name Indian and foreign stars as they had signed Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff for record salaries of US$1.55 million each in the last player auction.
