US soldiers posted in Afghanistan busted for using craigslist for sexual hook ups

The US military is cracking down on soldiers posted in Afghanistan who reportedly use craigslist for hooking up.

According to the New York Post, though military commanders forbid US servicemen and women from having sex outside of marriage while stationed in war zones, hundreds of soldiers have posted racy ads on craigslist looking for covert encounters.

The report said that officers as well as troops have been posting ads in the site”s ”Casual Encounters” section looking for love partners and not only servicemen post on the site but even military investigators are putting ads posing as sexually-frustrated soldiers.

One of the ads by a soldier read as ‘I am married and looking for some companionship while here’ and was accompanied by an XXX-rated photo.

The report said that it is not against military law for soldiers to post online ads looking for sex but many commanders find ways to make it a punishable offense anyway.

The charges may include adultery or soliciting prostitution, or enforcement of a catch-all regulation banning actions ‘to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces’, the report added. (ANI)
