Yelm, February 09: A US soldier is accused of waterboarding his daughter, because she refused to recite the alphabets, and he got infuriated. Joshua Tabor said that he “held her down on the counter and submerged her head into the water three or four times, until the water came around her forehead and jaw line”. He particularly chose this punishment, as his daughter is terrified of water.
The 27-year-old soldier Joshua Tabor has been charged with second-degree assault of a child, and is set to appear in court February 16 2010. He also reportedly told the police that his daughter is afraid of water, and she was squirming around to free herself from his grip, when he was waterboarding her. “Joshua did not act as though he felt there was anything wrong with this form of punishment,” the police report said.
After he was charged, he has been asked to remain on the military base, and have no contact with neither his girlfriend nor his daughter.
