US should ponder over its failure in Afghanistan: Imran Khan

In a Twitter message, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan responded to Trump’s tirade against Pakistan and said no Pakistani was involved in September 2001 attack, still Pakistan decided to support the US for its war against terrorism. In a tweet, Imran Khan stated that Pakistan lost 75000 lives and its economy suffered a loss of 123 million dollars, while the US aid was just 20 million dollars.

Imran Khan said their tribal areas were destroyed as a result lakhs of people been were displaced. The war against terrorism had worst effects on the lives of Pakistani people, claimed Imran.

He said, instead of making Pakistan a scapegoat for its failures, US should seriously review its performance and ponder, why despite 1 lakh 40 thousand NATO forces, 2.5 lakh Afghan forces and spending 1 billion dollars in the Afghan war, Talibans are more powerful than before.
