US has always stabbed in back on the pretext of friendship: Rouhani

Tehran: Referring to US sanctions as stabbing someone with a knife, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ridicules the notion that a new nuclear deal can be renegotiated while the US is renewing sanctions against Iran at the same time. He said while claiming his desire to talk, Trump is imposing sanctions upon Iranian children, patients, and the people. This is synonymous to stabbing someone in the back.

Hassan Rouhani said unless the sanctions are withdrawn Iran cannot enter talks with US President Donald Trump. Speaking to Persian IRIB state television Rouhani said, “You cannot expect to talk to a person after you stab him and leave the knife in his body.”
