Commenting on the news of the US ambassador agreeing to meet with Narendra Modi, Dr. Shaik Ubaid, one of the founders of Coalition Against Genocide and the President of ImanNet, said that Modi is a stigma of shame for India, Gujarat and Hinduism.
“Thanks to Gandhi and Nehru India has great respect in the wold especially the West. Modi has hurt that respect.
Modi has no shame he has been begging and bribing the US politicians to get the ban on his visa revoked. It was expected that the US will meet the BJP candidate for the PM. US is meeting the candidate and not Modi. Modi will continue to damage India’s image. BJP is being selfish for letting that happen .Promotion of Modi will hurt Gujarati business and the limit career options for Gujarati- Americans in the US.
The struggle to get justice for the victims of Gujarat pogrom will go on but our focus is bigger. The main problem is the ideology and the organization (Hindutva and RSS). Modi has allowed the Coalition Against Genocide to get media spot light on the RSS and Hindutva. The higher his profile the better it is for us,” said Dr. Ubaid
