Urdu was Indian, is Indian and will remain Indian: RSS leader Indresh Kumar

New Delhi: The 6th World Urdu Conference was organised by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) in New Delhi. Noted writer and researcher Syed Taqi Abidi delivered keynote address, while Council Director Shaikh Aqueel Ahmed presented welcome address. Chief of RSS affiliate Muslim Rashtriya Manch Indresh Kumar attended as chief guest.

Syed Taqi Abidi urged Urdu speaking people to preserve Urdu language. He asked the audience, does anyone ask us not to put an Urdu board on our residences? Does anyone stop us from writing letters in Urdu? Does anyone stop us from learning Urdu? Hailing that majority of the PhDs are done in Urdu language, he lamented that it is like decorating the 7th floor of a building while its foundation is getting weak.

As reported by the Inquilab, Indresh Kumar said Urdu langue was Indian language, it is an Indian language and will remain an Indian language. He claimed that Urdu is the language of love, unity and peace.
