Urdu varsity, Intl airport for Kurnool: Naidu

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today assured that his government would strive to prove education to poor students.

Addressing the gathering after laying foundation stone for the proposed Urdu University in Orvakallu village in Kurnool district, the Chief Minister said his government was allotting 125 acres to the Urdu University. He also said from the next year a special DSC would be conducted for Urdu students. Besides Urdu University, an airport on par with international standards would be set up in Kurnool, he added.

Naidu also stated an Education hub and a study circle would be set up in 900 acres in Kurnool. The Chief Minister said Imams would be paid Rs 5,000 salary from this month. Later, the Chief Minister inspected Gorukallu reservoir.

Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishnamurthy, ministers Ganta Srinivas Rao, Palle Raghunath Reddy and others attended the function.(NSS)
