The Satellite campus of Maulana Azad National Urdu University will start functioning from the next academic year i.e. 2013-14. Urdu University is starting M.Ed. course this year in Kashmir.
The students of Kashmir Valley are more attracted towards B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses of Urdu University. Taking their interest into consideration, University is starting M.Ed. course this year.
These thoughts were expressed by Prof. Mohammed Miyan, Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University at a press conference held in Srinagar. He told that 35 seats have been provided in M.Ed. course. Entrance Test for admission into M.Ed. course was held for the first time in Srinagar in which 150 students wrote the examination.
Such of the candidates who don’t get a seat at Hyderabad can join Srinagar on merit basis. Seats will be increased this year in B.Ed course also.
Vice chancellor told that Govt. of Kashmir has decided to provide land in Budgam for establishing the campus of Urdu University in Kashmir. This matter is in the final stages. As soon as land is provided, construction work will be started.
