Urdu university appointments transparency assured by Vice Chancellor

Hyderabad, July 04: (Siasat News) Esteemed Urdu daily Siasat in its issue of 2nd July 2011, published a news item with reference to the revolutionary poet. Mr. Gaddar that the local candidates are being overlooked and regional bias is being exhibited in the recruitments in Urdu University. There is also a reference that a planned strategy has already been worked out to recruit favourite candidates from other states.

Prof. Mohammed Miyan has issued a rejoinder saying that Urdu University is a National University with all India jurisdiction which has been established under the 1998 Act of Parliament. In his clarification, Prof. Mohammed Miyan said that recruitments in Urdu Universtiy are made as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission.

The University has left no stone unturned in maintaining transparency in its recruitments. It seems that, as usual, some persons with vested interests with an intention to affect the good reputation of the University and to cast their influence on the honest recruitment procedure, have misled the President of Telangana Praja Front.

Prof. Mohammed Miyan has assured that complete transparency and honesty in the recruitment policy and the functioning of Urdu University. He appealed to the lovers of Urdu to refrain from any bad propaganda against the University since such an attitude will divert the attention of the hard working and honest teachers. Instead of regional consideration, merit is the only basis in the recruitments. He said that if the well-wishers of the University would like to know the details of the appointments, they may contact the Administration Department of the University.
