Hyderabad: The recruitment case of Urdu Officers Grade I reached Hyderabad High Court. Justice P. Naveen Rao accepted the petitions filed by two applicants challenging the procedure of recruitment for the appointment of Urdu Officers Grade I.
The judge issued instructions to Dept. of Minorities Welfare not to declare results for one week.
The petitioners contended that the appointment of Urdu Academy as nodal agency for recruitment and conducting of written test by JNTU-H is against the rules. They pleaded that the notification for recruitment of Urdu Officers should be struck off and fresh applications should be sought. They also pleaded that all such recruitments should be made through TSPSC. Although, earlier, a caveat was filed in the court but the case did not reach the said court.
Govt. pleader and Mr. Abu Akram appeared on behalf of Urdu Academy.
