A special meeting of All India National Integration Front was held under the chairmanship of its president, Mr. Raheed Khan Azad. He welcomes the declaration to form separate Telangana State keeping Hyderabad common capital for Andhra and Telangana States for 10 years. He demanded the Govt. of India to reduce the period from 10 to 5 years. He suggested imposing President’s Rule in A.P. since Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy C.M. and the Ministers from Seema Andhra region are not trustworthy.
He further told that Urdu Journalism played an important role in Telangana struggle under the stewardships of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan (Siasat), Mr. Khan Lateef Mohammed Khan (Munsif) and Mr. Syed Vikharuddin (Rahnuma-e-Deccan). These Newspapers published articles and the news items pertaining to Telangana Movement prominently in their newspapers. Urdu newspapers of today have become movements. They are fulfilling their duties to project the issues facing the Muslim communities. We salute these newspapers for their services. He appealed to the people of Telangana to maintain peace, tranquility and the culture of Hyderabad.
