Nearly 175 Muslim students studying in Urdu Medium Govt. Junior College, Bodhan in Nizamabad District were deprived of Scholarship amounts for the academic years 2012-13 and 2013-14 due to wrong entry of their bank account numbers. This amount has not been entered into their bank accounts whereas the tuition fees is being credited regularly in the bank account of the college.
On enquiry, it was found that the bank account numbers of all the students were entered wrongly. The college management told that whatever bank account numbers were furnished by the students, were forwarded to Minorities Finance Corporation.
It may be noted that the students of this college come from economically backward families leading their lives below poverty lines. The parents of the students requested the correspondent of Siasat Urdu Daily to communicate this problem to the authorities. Another incident came to light that in Govt. Girls’ Junior College, Nizamabad, the amounts of scholarships are not being released even after sanctioned it.
