Urdu Ghar and Function Hall to be inaugurated in January last week

Special Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel along with the Secretary Director Urdu Academy Prof. S A Shukoor visited the Urdu Ghar and Function Hall constructed at Motigali, Khilwat. He expressed satisfaction over the completion of construction work and ordered speedy completion of remaining work so that inaugural ceremony could be held at the end of current month.

The state of art Urdu Ghar houses two auditoria, library, reading room, well furnished classrooms, a research centre and computer labs. The biggest education centre in the state has been under construction for more than a decade due to lack of funds in between.

After inspection special secretary told that some partial works are yet to be finished for which 2.5 to 3 lakhs will be required. He directed the officials of Andhra Pradesh Health & Medical Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APHMHIDC) to submit an estimate in this connection so that minority welfare can release the required amount. He directed to complete the beautification work within 10 days of the release of funds so that the building can be inaugurated soon. The Urdu Ghar has been built with the cost of Rs. 1.5 crore. Big auditorium has the seating capacity of 425 people while the mini auditorium can accommodate 125 people. The auditoria will be used for literary and cultural activities.
